Born in 1963 in Sumy, Oleh Kharch is a contemporary Ukrainian artist currently residing and working in Kyiv. Initially exploring contemporary figurative art, he later diversified his style, moving from a post-impressionistic approach to exploring German expressionism. Kharch's artistic endeavors span from digital sound art to handmade artists books and involve a range of media, including collage, figurative painting, street art, video art, and digital art including works using a variety of online media. His book Chronicle of Russia's Undeclared War in Ukraine gained recognition at Kyiv Art Week in May 2019. In September 2018, his collage "Take Care of Nature—Your Mother!" was selected for the prestigious “Climate Award 2018" art competition in New York.
