Woman Berehyni͡a = Protector
Tetiana started her project “Berehynia” as a response to the beginning of the current war between Russia and Ukraine in 2014. It featured 20 portraits of Ukrainian women as symbols of the protection of family. Alongside the well-known Ukrainian poets and artists featured in the collection are images of grandmothers, volunteer aid workers, and young girls drawn from photographs of protector-women sent to Tetiana through social media. Ukraine’s Central Post Office (located in the Maidan square that was the site of the eponymous uprising in 2013) selected four works from the "Berehynia" project and minted stamps from them. These works have been exhibited in Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Cherkasy. Later, together with other works created by the artist in Thailand, they were showcased at the solo exhibition "Ukrainian Women in Art" at the BACC Contemporary Art Center in Bangkok.
