Exhibition Curator


Steve Knowlton has been Librarian for History and African American Studies since 2016. Previously, he was the Collection Development Librarian at the University of Memphis. He holds a master’s degree in Library and Information Science from Wayne State University and a Master of Arts in History from the University of Memphis. His scholarly interests include the history of libraries, vexillology (the study of flags), the history of African Americans in Tennessee, and assessment of library collections.
