Princeton's Papyri Collections

The Library's collections of papyri are chiefly housed in the Manuscripts Division, Department of Rare Books and Special Collections, in the Harvey S. Firestone Memorial Library. Additional papyri are in the Scheide Library and the Cotsen Children's Library. The original Princeton University Library Papyrus website was created in the 1990s when the Library was a member of the Advanced Papyrological Information System (APIS) Consortium and received generous grant funding from the National Endowment for the Humanities. Descriptions and images previously found online in the APIS database are also in Papyri.info.
