Nāmah-ʾi Farangistān
Significance
Nāmah-ʾi farangistān, published in 1924, was founded by Iranian youth in Berlin with the intention of helping Iran awaken from its slumber of ignorance and superstition, as the editors noted in their first issue. Most of the journal's editorials are unsigned, with only the date of publication noted. Consisting of 12 issues, this periodical represents a voice of Iranian intellectuals in the diaspora.
