- The Garrett leaf comes from an Antiphonary, which was broken up sometime before 1880 by John Ruskin, who gave fifteen of the leaves to his secretary, Laurence Hilliard. The volume of fifteen extant leaves was sold at Sotheby's in 1913 (Sotheby's, London, 28 April 1913, lot no. 509 for 15 leaves); afterwards Tregaskis sold the individual leaves which were widely dispersed. This leaf was acquired by Robert Garrett (1875-1961), Class of 1897, of Baltimore, Maryland.
