- Physical description: 23 lines per page, in two columns; written in madnhaya script in black on unglazed, laid Arabic paper with no chain lines. Rubrication and catchwords. Large, decorative quire signatures on center bottom of first page of each quire. The upper portions of fol. 1-36 have been worn away by water damage, with loss of text on fol. 1-17. Similar damage to upper outer corners of fol. 245-262, with loss of text on fol. 247-262. Damp-stained and foxed. Inner margins of some leaves reinforced with laid paper. Fol. 225 repaired with paper and missing text replaced. Insert between last page and back cover consisting of one quire of lined paper with Arabic writing on the first page in pencil.
- Decoration: Illuminated headers consisting of a geometric design simulating woven textiles in blue, red, and yellow, sometimes set within a double-framed rectangular box with decorative corners (approx. 12-30 x 58-65 mm.). Similar pattern set within illuminated frames on fol. 261b-262a. Full page illuminated cross on fol. 262b, again with similar geometric pattern.
