- Taylor MS. 9 is a composite volume comprised of two sets of quires, both probably produced in what is now the English metropolitan county of Merseyside and bound together after 1465 for William Ireland (or Irland), lord of the Manor of Hale, near Manchester. The present manuscript is known historically as the "Ireland Blackburne manuscript." From 1945 to 1971, the manuscript was at the Bibliotheca Bodmeriana, in Cologny, Switzerland. The New York antiquarian bookseller H. P. Kraus (1906-1987) purchased the manuscript in 1971 and sold it on 24 September 1973 to Robert H. Taylor (1908-1985), of Princeton, New Jersey, Class of 1930. His bequest to the Princeton University Library, 1985.
