Pt. 1 with an additional title page (A1r), engraved, "Semper eadem or the uniforme government of England", signed: W.M. sculp:, i.e. William Marshall. At head of engraved title page "Semper idem".
This, the true 1647 edition, has "Grayes-Inne-Gate" in imprint; the later reprint (Wing B349) has "Grays-Inn-Gate". The imprint is in two states: 1) "Printed for Matthew Walbanke at Grayes-Inne-Gate" (Lapidus copy); 2) "Printed for Mathew Walbancke at Grayes-Inne-Gate" (Ex copy).
Pt. 2 has title: The continuation of An historicall discourse, of the government of England ... with a preface, being a vindication of the ancient way of parliaments in England. Pt. 2 printed for M. Walbanck, and H. Twyford, 1651
