Digital image of a document presenting the genealogy of Sayyid Sharīf, father of Ḥukūmat Shāh and the grandfather of the Sayyid Sharīf who is the subject of BMP010. The text begins with a discourse on the necessity of showing respect to the Prophet Muhammad and his descendants. The text then relates the genealogy of Sayyid Sharīf, tracing it through ʻAbdullāh son of Imām Mūsā al-Kāẓim, back to the Prophet Muḥammad and continuing to Adam. The text then describes how a daughter of Khvājah Hamdīn married Shāh Muḥammad Madanī, one of the ancestors of Sayyid Sharīf mentioned in the text, and then relates their descendants down to Sayyid Sharīf. While this Khvājah Hamdīn is not identified in the text, it probably refers to a legendary Pīr of the Ismāʻīlī tradition of Badakhshan known by this name.
